Yesterday me an si went kayaking in the abel tasman. unfortunatly it was overcast an rained alot of the time! it was a bit lik goin kayakin in shetland on a moderate day! by lunchtime we wer freezin as we had decided to have wir lunch on a very windy beach and it wis rainin! it got a little better but after 4 hours we wer very glad to get back to the base an have a hot shower and a coffee. doin stuff lik yun is what you hiv tae do tae appreciate the fact that you can enjoy hot showers and coffee! but we had fun anyway! just wasnt quite what you would imagine when you think of kayaking in the abel tasman! still beautiful too.....
after kayakin we went along the road to this little gallery where people can pay to stay in little wooden huts an carve for a few weeks. Da carvins there were incredible an made me feel very average at carvin. wish i could have stayed there for a bit but am headin up north today!
to the north island!!!!!!! first stop wellington! on the ferry tomorrow morning!
