went for another surf early, was a bit calm though, not too great but it was nice to just get in the water! id spotted a church on the way out of town to the surf, so i decided to try an find that again an go there. it turned out to be quite small with a few older folk in it but it was good. they all seemed a bit nutty which i liked. the worship turned out to be great. i mean on the surface it didnt seem that great but once it got goin they were quite spontanious! it was good fun, i thought it would be cool to read them something from my shetland bible, so i ran out an got it from the car, i picked out psalm 24 an asked the pastor if it was ok, he agreed an i read it oot in shetland. it turned out someone else had got that psalm in the morning an felt it was for their fellowship! which was groovy. at the end i was chattin to two guys an one of them said"you dont know a guy who flys little planes on that island do you? used to be a missionary in africa" to which i obviously replied"thats my dad!" he d watched a tv program about it..........how random is that............somewhere in NZ a dude had already heard of my dad!
After church i headed for nelson, stopped for a swim again, awesome. it was a long windy drive but definatly one of the most beautiful drives ever! got up to rhona an simons an had chips for tea!
