went to nelson today fir a peerie drive. went past a woodshop that i found out has a job going as a machinist. very boring job, but good pay. hopin i get it, i could do with the cash! tried not to let on that i wouldnt be aroond for aa that lang!

in nelson i went to the jewellery shop where they made the rings for lord of the rings! i saw the original ring and the big one they used for the scene where sawron has it over his armoured hand, that ones massive! you can buy one the same but theres only 100! it was cool.
went to the museum an saw all the awesome mauri stuff from this area. the also had a lifesize giant eagle replica, apparently the found 3 skeletons of giant eagles in this are. 10cm long tallons, thats each tallon! apparently you would have to be the size of a clydesdale horse to have a chance of surviving an attack. luckily i think thier extinct. scary stuff for an early settler!
